What you can do

Global Citizens for Change is a group of people like you—people who want to make the world a more just place. There are different ways that you can make an impact on the fight against poverty. Whether you choose to volunteer overseas or work in your own community, you can be part of a global campaign to create change.

This July the world’s eight richest countries (known as the G8) will meet in Japan to talk about global poverty and climate change. The G8 meetings coincide with the famous Japanese Tanabata festival, where people tie written wishes to bamboo trees.
Tie your wish to our virtual tree, and be part of a global movement to ask for the end of poverty.
