International Volunteer Day letter to Members of Parliament from volunteers in the field.
In 1985 the United Nations General Assembly resolved that every year December 5th would be recognized around the world as International Volunteer Day. It is a day that offers an opportunity to recognize volunteer contributions towards the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals.
This year, Global Citizens for Change a project of eight of Canada's Volunteer Cooperation agencies want to ensure that all volunteers connect with their Member of Parliament to let them know about the type of work you are doing and to recognize the Canadian government's support for volunteer cooperation.
There are only three steps:
Step one:
Put in your name email and postal code below to find out your Member of Parliaments' contact details.
Step two:
Confirm your Member of Parliament.
Step three:
Read and edit the email to let your MP know about the work you are doing.
